Devised over the course of six weeks, this was a very movement focused piece that discussed the responsibility of an artist to honour the cause of those who came before. It referenced and recognised many artists, performers and writers who suffered for their art and their politics.

Going into the project the brief from my director was an entirely white costume ensemble - save for 4 actors. This was an exciting challenge, to create a cohesive yet diverse range of monotone costumes. As my use of colour was restricted I gravitated towards playing with textures, materials and layering. I’m very proud of the outcome of this piece as I feel that my costumes were able to really highlight the movements of the performers and almost blend together as a whole cast.
