About The Designer

Currently studying for their BA in Design for Performance, Emily Hollands is an aspiring costume and set designer. She has worked on many productions in her time at Rose Bruford College and has been able to turn her hand to acting as both maker and designer in these settings. She has a great attention to detail and a passion for sustainability, which she attempts to follow through with in all her work.

From a young age Emily has been interested in fashion and the arts, with her passion ultimately leading her towards theatre. Their main passions are in historical costuming and costuming for ballet and opera.

Before she found theatre, Emily was an accomplished painter and textile artist. In 2024 they won the Sandwich Arts Council prize for one of their installations and was able to have their work put on exhibition. They still hold a love of the fine arts and let it inform all of the work that they create.
